This is just a really short post to show the flossing that I finally got around to doing on my corset.  You can read about its construction here and it’s use as part of my Halloween costume here.

Corset flossing is embroidery on corsets that is decorative, but also serves to help hold the bones in place and reinforce the fabric at the end of the bones.  For my flossing, I used pearl cotton as it is a bit sturdier than embroidery thread.  Since this was my first time doing it, I used some very simple stitches.  I’m happy with how it turned out.  I wish that I had an excuse to make another corset!
