Sewing My Wedding Dress: Part 4, THE WEDDING!!

All the pretty pictures were taken by Julie Haider. It’s taken a bit of time to get this final post done, as we are trying to get settled into our new house, but I am so excited to finally share the pictures of this dress.  It was a long process (11 months according to my… Read More Sewing My Wedding Dress: Part 4, THE WEDDING!!

Sewing My Wedding Dress: Part 3

April 11, 2016

OMG, it’s finished!!!  To get caught up on my process so far see my first and second posts.  The main construction of the dress went pretty fast, but then I didn’t work on it for months.  One thing I noticed was that sewing this dress has made me care about the state of my nails… Read More Sewing My Wedding Dress: Part 3

About Me

I am a weaver who longs to make beautiful and useful things. I love that weaving is a very precise craft that relies on a fair amount of math. I love the motion and rhythm of winding a warp and throwing a shuttle. I love starting with a draft and seeing the design I saw in my mind become a tangible piece of cloth. My love for the my craft goes into everything that I make.

In addition to weaving, I also sew, spin, knit, and dye– almost anything fiber related!
