A Pop of Pink for Spring

May 11, 2018

Making things for other people can be hit or miss, so nothing makes me happier than when I get it right and I actually get requests for more!  That is the case with this shirt.  Around Christmas last year, I made Wade a plaid flannel shirt.  It was the long-sleeved version of a summer shirt… Read More A Pop of Pink for Spring

Fifties-style dress with PURPLE PLAID!!!

September 27, 2017

So this fabric is everything that is wonderful in the world.  First, it is silk which is pretty much the best fiber except for wool.  Second, it is purple; I think it is well known that I love purple beyond reason.  Third, it is plaid, which I love almost as much as I love purple.… Read More Fifties-style dress with PURPLE PLAID!!!

Awesome Robes for Christmas

December 26, 2016

Presents!   For Christmas this year, I decided to make Wade and I matching robes.  Wade’s computer is set up in the basement, and I am always chilly so it’s nice to have an extra layer to throw on in the house.  I have an old terry cloth robe, but it is looking pretty ratty.… Read More Awesome Robes for Christmas

A Birthday Present For My Sis

July 17, 2015

A few years ago I informed my family members that I was no longer buying them birthday/Christmas presents.  Instead, I asked them to tell me what they wanted me to make for them.  This has actually worked surprisingly well.  (Although I definitely do not always have their presents finished by their actual birthdays, but they… Read More A Birthday Present For My Sis

About Me

I am a weaver who longs to make beautiful and useful things. I love that weaving is a very precise craft that relies on a fair amount of math. I love the motion and rhythm of winding a warp and throwing a shuttle. I love starting with a draft and seeing the design I saw in my mind become a tangible piece of cloth. My love for the my craft goes into everything that I make.

In addition to weaving, I also sew, spin, knit, and dye– almost anything fiber related!
